1. Schoolbags can only be placed on chairs

According to national standards, the heights of desks and chairs of different heights should be based on correct sitting postures. The correct sitting posture requires that the back two-thirds to three-quarters of the student's thighs should be placed on the surface of the chair and the feet should be naturally flat on the ground.

However, in reality, since desks and chairs do not provide a place to put school bags, most of the chair surface is occupied by school bags, and only one-third or less of the students' thighs are on the chair surface.

2. The design of desks and chairs does not meet national standards

In fact, some tables and chairs in primary and secondary schools do not meet national standards. In order to obtain greater storage space, the headroom under the countertop is compressed to make it smaller than the national standard. In this case, students will not be able to use the correct sitting posture.

3. The configuration of desks and chairs in some schools is unreasonable

At present, the tables and chairs purchased through bidding for schools in some areas are of a single variety or distributed unreasonably. What is more common is that desks and chairs in the same height range are purchased and distributed uniformly to high schools, junior high schools, and elementary schools, but because the span of years is larger, just like students in elementary schools, the height is not high enough to match these desks and chairs.

4. The height of school desks and chairs is not adjusted in place.

Some schools do not personalize students' desks and chairs according to the height changes brought about by students' growth at each stage. Some schools do not adjust the height of desks and chairs at will according to students' preferences instead of according to national standards.
